I offer relaxed family photography sessions in Bristol, capturing natural moments and genuine connection through both outdoor and studio photography. My approach is focused on creating a calm and enjoyable experience where families can simply spend time together while I document the real smiles, interaction and little moments that make your family unique.

I love photographing families outdoors across Bristol, using natural light and relaxed surroundings to capture genuine moments together. Some of my favourite family photoshoot locations include the open landscapes and woodland at Ashton Court, the riverside paths and greenery at Snuff Mills, the open space at Victoria Park, and the mix of waterfront views and city atmosphere around Bristol Harbourside.
Each location offers something different depending on the style of session you’re looking for, from natural woodland settings to more colourful urban backdrops, while also giving children space to explore, play and feel comfortable during the shoot.

My cosy home studio in Bedminster, Bristol is designed to feel calm, comfortable and relaxed, creating a natural environment for timeless family and portrait photography. With a choice of clean, simple backdrops and soft flattering light, the studio is ideal for family portraits, children’s photography, couples sessions and individual portraits throughout the year.

Family Photoshoot Bristol - FAQs
Where do the family photoshoots take place?
Most of my family photoshoots take place outdoors in Bristol’s beautiful parks such as Ashton Court, Victoria Park or Snuff Mills — or we can use my home studio on Monmouth Street. You can also choose a mix of both studio and outdoor shots if you’d like a bit of variety.
What happens if it rains?
If you’ve booked an outdoor session and the weather isn’t looking good, we can either move the session into the studio or reschedule to another day that suits you. I always keep an eye on the forecast and will be in touch ahead of time if we need to adjust plans.
What should we wear for our family photoshoot?
For family photoshoots, I recommend choosing outfits that complement each other without matching completely. Neutral tones, earthy colours and simple patterns tend to photograph beautifully outdoors around Bristol.
When will our photos be ready?
Your edited gallery will be ready within around two weeks of your family photoshoot in Bristol. I’ll email you as soon as everything is ready to view and download.
What if my children don't sit still?
Children don’t need to sit perfectly still or constantly smile for a successful family photoshoot. I keep sessions relaxed and natural, allowing plenty of movement and interaction so everyone feels comfortable.

Areas I cover in Bristol for Family Photography
Most of my family photography sessions take place outdoors at some of Bristol’s most beautiful natural locations. I regularly photograph families at Ashton Court, which is one of my favourite spots for relaxed and natural family photography thanks to the open space, trees and beautiful light throughout the year.
I also love photographing family sessions at Oldbury Court, Snuff Mills, Blaise Castle Estate, Clifton Observatory and Victoria Park, all of which offer slightly different backdrops depending on the style and feel you would like for your photographs. Whether you are looking for woodland walks, open green spaces or a more iconic Bristol backdrop, there are lots of lovely locations to choose from.
Although I’m based in South Bristol near Victoria Park, I travel across Bristol for family photography sessions and I’m always happy to photograph at a location that is special to your family.
